Print Udupi: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Udupi on November 28, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna visited the Adi Udupi helipad area along with officials.
The district administration has already decided to construct a new helipad in addition to the existing 3 helipads in Adi Udupi and instructed the officials to start the construction work immediately through the Public Works Department.
The Udupi municipality has already cleared the grass in the helipad area and the cleaning work is going on. He said that steps have been taken to repair the roads connecting the helipad and a proposal should be submitted for the installation of a well-equipped gate and construction of a compound wall in the helipad area soon.
The Assistant Engineer of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said that the work on the national highway in the Adi Udupi Karavali Junction area is going on in full swing and special priority should be given to smooth traffic in this area.
On this occasion, Municipal Council members Mrs. Savita Harish Ram, Mr. Sundar Kalmadi, Mr. Shreesha Bhat, former Chairman of Municipal Council Mr. Kiran Kumar Bailur, prominent Mr. Harish Ram, Mr. Dinesh Amin, Mr. Akshit Shetty Herga, Engineer of Public Works Department Mr. Lloyd, Assistant Engineer of National Highways Department Mr. Manjunath Naik etc. were present.
