Udupi, October 12, 2025: 72 Naval NCC cadets of Karnataka & Goa Directorate today created history by embarking on a trial voyage from Malpe Port, Udupi to Mangalore. The expedition is a part of the prestigious All India Trophy for Marine Sailing Expedition-MENU (Most Entrepreneurial Naval Unit) 2025.
The camp offers a mix of adventure and skill development: intensive naval skills courses, river and ocean navigation exercises, trekking and visits to cultural sites in Udupi district.

The return journey was started in the direction of Udupi after abandoning the boat on foot; then visited the famous Kateel Durgaparameshwari Temple and received prasadam; and spent leisure time with the crew and non-naval students at Mulki’s * Mandra Club *.
The mission’s goal is not just to teach naval tactics. It aims to provide students with hands-on experience in air navigation, build self-confidence, enhance team spirit and inculcate life skills required for life at sea. It is also expected to generate long-term interest in naval activities among the youth.
Launched on 6th October 2025 and scheduled to conclude on 15th October 2025 in the State, the students are expected to show their strength, unity and dignity of performance by covering the coastal route Udupi → Mangalore → Udupi.
