Kallianpur Varado Level Elocution Competition Held at Mount Rosary

The Kallianpur Varado level Elocution Competition was held at Mount Rosary English Medium High School, Santhekatte, Kallianpur, on Sunday, 5th October 2025.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various parishes of the Varado, with competitions conducted in eight categories across Konkani and Kannada languages, offering three prizes in each category.

Barkur Parish emerged as one of the top performers, securing seven prizes across six divisions, including one first, four Second, and two Third places. Sastan Parish won two First prizes; while Milagres Cathedral and Thottam Parish bagged three prizes each, showcasing commendable talent and eloquence. In short, Kollalgiri parish won four, including one first and three third places, Brahmmavar parish, Mount Rosary, Kemmnnu parish children won two prizes each and Petri church one first place in the closely fought finals with 77 candidates making it to Deanery level from nine parishes.

17 Winners will advance to the next, Diocesan level contest for coveted Trophies scheduled later in October or November first week, in Anugraha, along with top ranking first and second place winner’s chosen from, Kundapura, Udupi, Shirva and Karkala varados in Udupi Diocese.
The event was meticulously organized under the able leadership of Mrs. Rosy Quadros, President of Kallianpur Varado, along with her dedicated team of Deanery office bearers, who ensured a smooth and fair conduct of the competition. Two panels of experienced judges from neighboring Varados were invited to maintain impartial and professional evaluation.

Hearty congratulations to all the winners and participants for their splendid performance, and to the organizers for making the event a grand success.
