‘Dussehra Ayudha Pooja’ at National Industrial Technology Institute, Heradi–Barkur
The National Industrial Technology Institute, NITI Heradi–Barkur, observed the auspicious ‘Ayudha Pooja 2025’ celebration during Navaratri, with devotion and enthusiasm on Tuesday, 30th September 2025 at 10.00 a.m. in its campus.

The beautifully decorated whole NITI premises and the orderly arrangements in each major section of the Institute reflected the festive and sacred spirit of the occasion.
The function began with offering traditional prayers and puja, invoking divine blessings for knowledge, wisdom, and prosperity as students prepared ambience for a serene atmosphere with devotion and decoration of the image of Goddess Sarasvathi and nine different Devi’s, in as many as eight locations / major department, as the staff, students, and well-wishers of the Institute gathered in large numbers to witness and take part in the sacred ritual.
On this day of ‘Vijayadashami’, tools, instruments, and machinery used in technical education and training were reverently worshipped, symbolizing respect for work and gratitude towards the means of livelihood. The management, principal, faculty, non teaching staff and students joined together in offering flowers, fruits, and prayers, seeking divine grace for continued progress and excellence in academic and professional life, as NITI at the threshold of celebrating ‘Ruby Jubilee in December 2025’.

The Principal, Prof Venkatesh Kramadhari in his address, highlighted the significance of ‘Ayudha Pooja’ in the modern context, in NITI over the years, reminding everyone that dedication, discipline, and respect for one’s profession are the true weapons of success. He also emphasized the importance of skill development and the role of the Institute in shaping the future of youth.
Mr. B. Shantarama Shetty, President of the Barkur Educational Society, (BES) Vice President Shedikodlu Vittal Shetty, its Secretary Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Admn Coordinator Mr. Archibald Furtado, Correspondents Mr. Srinvasa Shettigar, Mr. Ratnakara Shetty, Heads of National Educational Institutions and teachers, President and Office Bearers of NITI Old Students Association, Management Committee members and others were cordially welcomed and they were escorted to place of worship by Principal Prof Kramadhari and Correspondent Mr. Ramachandra Kamath and gracefully exchanged festive greetings…
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prasadam, refreshments etc fostering a sense of unity and joy among all present. The event turned out to be a memorable occasion, blending tradition with the modern spirit of technical education.
The management and teaching faculty expressed gratitude to everyone, especially the Students for their active participation and cooperation in making the celebration meaningful and successful.
