A Noble Gesture of Giving: KM Udupa Pratistana Extends Support Worth ₹22 Lakhs to Deserving Beneficiaries 

Mandarthi, 19 July 2025, In heartfelt tribute to their beloved parents Late Smt. Shantha and Shri KM Udupa, the family members of KM Udupa Pratistana, Mandarthi organised a remarkable philanthropic programme on Saturday, 19 July 2025, at Shri Durgaparameshwari Kala Mandira, Mandarthi.

The programme began with the invocation of divine blessings, setting a solemn and sacred tone for the day. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome address by Mr. Mahesh Udupa, who shared a moving account of the Udupa family’s 100-year journey shifting from Karkala to Mandarthi. He recalled how his grandfather, then Father KM Udupa became an integral part of Mandarthi’s social, educational, and religious development, contributing selflessly to the community’s growth. Mr. Udupa reflected on how the family has continued this legacy at the very site where Goddess Durga Parameshwari made her divine abode, turning Mandarthi into a revered cultural and spiritual centre.
Soon after the lighting of traditional lamps, by Guests on stage, Mr Sakharam Somayaji briefed the procedure and parameters for choosing the poorest among the poor, and most deserving for this help...
