Mysore June 19 : Our development works are the answer to the lies of JD (S) and BJP. We have brought the government to the doorsteps of the people. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called for an open debate on the issue.

He was speaking after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of the government’s two-year Sadhana Sammelan and development works worth Rs 2578 crore.

Let the BJP and the JD (S) come on the same platform, which is misleading the people of the state through a series of lies. Let’s have an open discussion about the development works of our government. He challenged me to come.

Today’s development works are the answer to the BJP’s propaganda that the government has no money for development. There should be no enmity for BJP and JD (S) on our guarantee schemes. They are not tolerating our development works, he said.

Kumaraswamy of the JD (S) can never come to power on his own strength. "Those who do not maintain the love, trust and respect of the people of the state have no moral right to criticize our government," he said.

BJP and JD (S) are not in favour of the state. Not for the people of the state. The amount of tax we pay to the Centre from the state every year is negligible. No one, including Union Minister Kumaraswamy, Pralhad Joshi and MP Bommai, has the courage to ask Modi to correct the injustice done to the state. BJP and JD (S) have cheated the people of the state.

We have given lakhs of crores of rupees for development works apart from five guarantees. The development work we have done is not just for the Congress. BJP-JD (S) supporters and voters are getting help from the government every day, every month. I have given free tickets to the 500th crore woman who travelled under the Shakti Yojana. This is our government’s commitment.

The entire country cannot forget that from Jawaharlal Nehru’s time to Indira Gandhi’s, Rajiv Gandhi’s and Manmohan Singh’s time, the Congress government was formulating and implementing programmes of social justice, he said.

The Food Security Act, Compulsory Education Act, NREGA were all passed during the Congress regime. What did the BJP do during its rule? he asked.

Manuvadis are opponents of social justice and development of backward communities, opponents of the Constitution. That’s why they criticize us for social justice.

The BJP is trying to change the Constitution. He said that the people of the country and the Congress party will defeat the conspiracy of the BJP and the Manuwaadis, he said.
