Print As part of the nationwide campaign “Hands on Soil, Hearts with India”, the Udupi unit of the Children Islamic Organisation (CIO) conducted a plantation drive on 13 July 2025 to promote environmental awareness and encourage young minds to take responsibility for nature.
The program began with an interactive session conducted by Sister Meharunisa, who enlightened the children about the importance of plants and their various uses in daily life. The session was engaging and educational, tailored especially for young learners.
Following the session, CIO children, ICC boys, and JIH cadres actively participated in planting plant saplings within the premises of Jamia Masjid, Udupi. The initiative was well-received and served as a hands-on learning experience for the children.
The event was graced by the Janab Riyaz Ahmed president of Jamia Masjid, who appreciated the efforts of the children and the organizers. Their presence encouraged the participants and emphasized the importance of community involvement in such noble initiatives.
This plantation activity marks a small yet significant step towards a greener future, reflecting the spirit of the campaign, nurturing the soil with love and care, and building a stronger India through mindful action.
