National Youth Training Café Inaugurated at Gurugaon, Haryana, Archdiocese of Delhi

Haryana, May 18, 2025: The National Youth Training Café, organized by YCS/YSM India, was officially inaugurated on May 17, 2025, at the Shofar Convention Centre in Gurugaon, Haryana, Archdiocese of Delhi, by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Anil Couto, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Delhi. Mr. Roshan Lobo, IYCS General Secretary from Paris, France. Mr. Anson Nazareth, National YCS/YSM President and Fr Chetan Machado, YCS/YSM National Chaplain were present.

The training program will continue until May 22, 2025, bringing together young leaders and animators from six regions across the country to reflect on Gen Z for a self-sustaining world: Voice of the Voiceless, Healthy Living, and Sustenance. The day began with participant registration, followed by a briefing session and an engaging icebreaker that set a warm and vibrant tone for the days ahead.

The inaugural Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated by Anil J. T. Couto, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Delhi. He was joined by Fr. Chetan Machado, National Chaplain of YCS/YSM India, along with several other priests from various regions. In his homily, Archbishop Couto encouraged the young people, saying, “You are not just the future; you are the present, too.” His words inspired the participants to take ownership of their roles in shaping society with responsibility and faith.

The liturgical celebration was made even more special by the melodious choir, led by the Archdiocese of Delhi’s YCS/YSM team, adding a beautifully spiritual atmosphere to the occasion.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a week filled with learning, leadership training, fellowship, and a deeper understanding of the YCS/YSM spirit.
