Udupi, May 12 : The district should be prepared to respond immediately to responding to all kinds of preparation for the relief of natural disaster in the district. K Vidya Kumari instructed.
She was speaking at a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority meeting held at the Manipal Rajathadri District Office in the city today.
During the monsoon season, rain water is often caused by artificial aids, causing damage to the homes and farmland. Such cases have occurred in the last rainy season and the public has suffered. All kinds of precautionary measures should be taken without this. It has already been suggested that the water flows smoothly in the royal canal and groove. Yet the management of these is not adequate. Tahsildars were immediately instructed to take action.
In some parts of the river, water is causing crop damage to the farm. Farmers have appealed for this. She instructed the authorities to carry out the clearance work on priority.
Steps should be taken to ease rain water on both sides of the National Highway Road. The highway departments seem to be unresponsive, despite the fact that the works that are already underway. She said that if action is not taken, they will file an FIR under the Disaster Management Act and prosecute them.
The last line was instructed to install rainwater harvesting to government and private borewells and open wells. There are 1616 open wells in rural areas and 1554 tube wells in the district. However, only 44 and 93 rain water harvesting has been fitted. He instructed them to be implemented immediately on priority, and the privateer should also adopt rainwater harvesting. She said that this would increase groundwater and prevent water shortage in the summer.
The problem of drinking water is not often found in the current situation in the district. He said that if there is a problem with drinking water, there should be immediate response to the water quality tests.
Old trees that are dangerous, root -relaxed trees should be carried out on priority. There have been two human damage cases due to the rolling of trees in the last row. She said that this time, the Gram Panchayat Officers and Executive Officers should coordinate with the Forest Department officials and carry out the evacuation work.
The grants have already been released to carry out the damage to the building and road works. She instructed the officials of the Department of Education to inspect the buildings of the school colleges and obtain confirmation that they are correct.
Task Force Committees in the Gram Panchayat jurisdiction must be prepared to act actively. These committees should also make Anganwadi activists, Asha activists and women members of the committee. Plans should also be made on the disaster management of the Gram Panchayat. If there are any disasters, the village accountants and the panchayat development officers should immediately come forward. She said that if the death occurred, they should be working to provide relief within 24 hours.
In the wake of the battle situation, strict security measures are being taken with law and order in the district, and it is suggested to maintain greater security in major places. Strict action will be taken against those who spread false news. Illegal inventory and thief are monitored. He said the central government’s guidelines on safety would be strictly followed by a warning to prevent efforts to increase the cost of goods unnecessarily.
District Superintendent of Police Speaking of Arun K, the backdrop of the war against Pakistan, the need for law and order in the district has been prepared. Firefighters are in preparation for 24 hours. More than 400 volunteers have been identified to strengthen the civilian defense system. He also said that the NSS and NCC volunteers, who are already eighteen years old, will be trained and they will be deployed in case of emergency.
Hospitals in the district are advised to ensure that there is no shortage of beds, medications, insufficient inventory and lack of doctors. He said that the control room number of the district administration and the police department should be informed in case of any disasters or other problems. He said false information from other places, other than the district administration, should not be shared in the social network.
