Mount Carmel’s Young Graduates Shine at UKG Convocation Day
With hearts brimming with pride and excitement, Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, celebrated UKG Convocation Day on March 26, 2025, in the school auditorium. This momentous occasion marked a significant milestone in the journey of the little graduates, setting the stage for their bright future. The event commenced with a warm and delightful welcome by the charming little MCs of LKG. Setting the tone for an inspiring celebration, the theme "Little Hands, Big Dreams – Paint a Future that Shines" echoed the boundless potential of these young learners.
The Chief Guest, Dr Rosa Nimmi Mathew along with Joint Secretary Sr Josephine Pais, Principal Sr Melissa, Administrator Sr Carissima, PTA Vice President Ms. Preema DCunha and the UKG graduates were escorted and led to the auditorium by the school band with its rhythmic beats.
The ceremony commenced with a soul-stirring prayer service, complemented by a melodious prayer song that uplifted the spirits of everyone present. The vibrant LKG dancers then took center stage, welcoming the audience with an enchanting performance that exuded innocence and joy followed by words of welcome by Chiranth Ambigar, Nilin Vaz and Clive Machado.
Sister Melissa, the Principal, led the young graduates in a heartfelt pledge, encouraging them to dream fearlessly and embrace learning with passion. A defining moment of the celebration was the Graduation Day Song, where the tiny graduates sang in unison, expressing their dreams, gratitude, and excitement for the journey ahead. Their sweet voices resonated through the auditorium, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all.
Adding a personal touch to the occasion, "Imprints from the Heart" allowed the young graduates to share their fond memories and experiences. Two representatives from each UKG section - Jonathan Fernandes, Shakthi Poojary, Bhavik Moolya, Joanna Fernandes, Ridhish Kumar and Inayah Irshad eloquently voiced their love and appreciation for their teachers, school and the parents, reflecting the deep bond they had nurtured over the years.
The stage then came alive with lively performances by Nursery and LKG students, who danced gracefully to uplifting tunes like "Dream Big" and "Rise High and Shine." Their enthusiastic moves and radiant smiles infused the atmosphere with energy and positivity.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Rosa Nimmi Mathew, Assistant Professor, Department of Counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, congratulated the young graduates and shared three valuable insights with the parents - appreciate children daily, teach them to accept failure and a ‘no’, thereby fostering resilience and understanding, and always to express love before they sleep with the simple yet powerful words, "I love you."
Then came the much-awaited moment as each UKG student, hand-in-hand with their parents, walked onto the stage to receive their graduation certificate from the chief guest and the dignitaries. The joy and pride radiating from their faces made the ceremony truly unforgettable.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Rithul Kumar, Aarav Anil and Fathima Hasbi, followed by refreshments, leaving everyone with smiling faces and cherished memories. As the little graduates embark on the next phase of their educational journey, the day stood as a testament to their growth, dreams and the unwavering support of their school and families. With hearts full of aspirations and eyes set on the future, the young graduates left the place, ready to paint a world that truly shines!
