"Research Article Reading and Writing for Academic Excellence." at Milagres college, Kallianpur

On November 19, 2024, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of our college initiated a comprehensive workshop on "Research Article Reading and Writing for Academic Excellence." The workshop aimed to enhance the research skills of faculty members, promoting academic excellence and quality research. Rev. Dr. Norbert Paul, Associate Professor of Practice and Research Mentor at St. Aloysius Deemed-to-be University, Mangalore, was the esteemed resource person for the day.

The workshop commenced with a warm welcome by Mrs. Shylet Madam, who introduced the resource person. Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of the college, delivered an introductory address, emphasizing the significance of the workshop in fostering a research-oriented culture within the institution. The workshop was attended by Dr. Jayaram Shettigar, Staff Secretary, deans of all departments, and faculty members, who actively participated in the interactive sessions.

During the workshop, Rev. Dr. Norbert Paul provided a step-by-step explanation of how to read and analyze research articles, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and interpretation. He elaborated on the essential components of research methodology, shedding light on the intricacies of literature review. The resource person’s expertise and engaging presentation style enabled the participants to grasp the concepts with ease.

The workshop was designed to be highly interactive, with participants engaging in discussions, sharing their experiences, and seeking clarification on doubts. The event proved to be a valuable learning experience, empowering faculty members with the knowledge and skills required to excel in research and academic pursuits.
