Inauguration of Udupi District Unit of United Christian Unity Forum for All Karnataka Human Rights

Udupi: Rev. Dr. Hemachandra, the Bishop of CSI Karnataka Southern Diocese, said that by inculcating the concern of society in children from childhood and living in solidarity with every community, it should become a light to the world.
He was speaking while inaugurating the district unit of Akhil Karnataka Human Rights United Christian Unity Forum (AKUCFHR), which brings together various Christian congregations of Udupi district, at Kakkunje Anugrah Pastoral Center on Tuesday.
Jesus Christ has given the message of loving everyone, and according to his message, we should identify ourselves with the neighboring communities and live by adopting the social concerns of Jesus Christ in our lives. Through this he said that the mission of the Christian community should be a model for others.
Most Rev Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, the Bishop of Udupi Diocese who presided over the program said that if we are united we can be strong but if we are divided it will be the defeat of our community. Living in unity is the most important need today through which we can fight for the rights of the community. He said that success will always be ours through united struggle.
Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo who celebrated 75 years of his life, Rev. Fr Baptist Pais, who was elected as the National Secretary of Christian Unity Forum, and Rev. Fr Denis D’sa, who was appointed as a national member of the Forum, were honored.
Rev Fr JB Saldana, Public Relations Officer of Mangaluru Diocese conducted an information workshop on All Karnataka Human Rights United Christian Unity Forum activities, future plans.
Representatives of various Christian congregations such as Roman Catholic, Syro Malabar, Syro Malankara, CSI, UBMC, Syrian Orthodox, Marthoma and other independent Christian congregations were present in the program.
Ivan Soans, CSI Udupi Sabha Pastor, performed the prayer. Prashant Jattana, Vice President of United Christian Unity Forum for Human Rights welcomed the gathering, Christian Unity Forum Diocesan Secretary Rev Fr Leo D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.
