Udupi : The Altar Server’s day was celebrated at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur near here on Sunday, November 17 with devotion.

Around 30 Altar Servers’ actively participated in the Eucharistic Celebration which concelebrated by Very Rev Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves, Rector of Milagres Cathedral and Vicar General of Udupi Diocese along with Rev Fr. Pradeep Cardoza, Asst. parish priest of the Cathedral. The Altar Servers’ performed the liturgy of the Eucharistic mass.

During the mass, the oath taking ceremony of the newly joined Altar Servers’ from 4^th and 5^th grade formally inducted.

After the Holy Eucharistic mass, Rev Fr. Wilson D’Souza, Director of Divya Jyothi of Udupi diocese gave spiritual guidance about Holy mass and the role of Altar Servers’.

In his presidential address, Mngr. Rector Ferdinand Gonsalves emphasized the importance of Altar Servers’, highlighting their dedication and service. He also expressed his gratitude to animators’ and priest for their commitment and efforts in making the event successful. He encouraged the Altar Servers’ to adopt the values of their Patron St. John Barchmans in their lives.

Followed by, the Altar servers’ enthusiastically participated in cultural programme.

The grand Altar Servers’ Dau celebration was concluded by lunch sponsored by Mr Xavier Fernandes, the Coordinator of Commission of Seminary & Religion formation. Rev Fr. Pradeep Cardoza graced on the meals and thanked all for making the event successful. Coordinator Veena Rodrigues and Prema Lewis, Coordinator of parish pastoral commissions were present on the dais.
