Bynduru: A consultation meeting was held in Kundapur on Tuesday under the leadership of MLA Gururaj Gantihole on behalf of Bynduru Foundation, which has created a legal struggle relationship to prevent the problem that may be faced by the villages adjoining the Western Ghats of Bynduru assembly constituency due to the implementation of the Kasturi Rangan report.
There was a long discussion about many issues including CRZ, Deemed Forest (Wildlife), which is giving more problems to Byndur Constituency, and the implementation of the Kasturi Rangan report.
Senior lawyers and legal experts shared their views. It was also decided to meet the senior advocates of the High Court and the Supreme Court soon and discuss the matter further.
MLA Gururaj Gantihole said that if delivery of the government’s plans to the people is a part of it, there is a possibility that some policies of the government will be harmful to the common people. In such cases a struggle has to be devised. We are preparing a platform for a legal fight against the implementation of the Kasturi Rangan report through Bynduru Foundation. We are collecting the required documents and information. Along with this, through the foundation, we are also preparing an outline for the struggle on the issues of CRZ, Deemed Forest etc.
He said that the purpose of this is to ensure that the Kasturi Rangan report is not implemented, and to ensure that the common people of the area do not face problems due to wildlife (deemed forest), CRZ, sand mining, stone mining etc.
Senior Advocate T.B. Shetty spoke and explained many issues that may arise from the implementation of the Kasthuri Rangan report and told about collecting the necessary documents in this regard.
