Felicitation to MLC Ivan D’Souza by Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Deanery.

Catholic Sabha Mangalore Region (R) - Episcopal City Deanery organized a felicitation ceremony for MLC Mr. Ivan D’Souza this Sunday.  
The event was presided over by Mrs. Ida Furtado, president of the Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Deanery.

Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Vicar Forane and Parish Priest of Milagres Church, inaugurated the program alongside other dignitaries.

In his address, Fr. Bonaventure highlighted the importance of strengthening the organization, encouraging community participation, and enhancing collective efforts. He stressed the necessity of being actively involved in governance while working towards resolving challenges and finding solutions.

Rev. Fr. John Vas, Spiritual Director of the Episcopal City Deanery, delivered a brief and humorous message, emphasizing that our influence should be constructive, not destructive. He encouraged the community to celebrate the success of others and work together to build a strong, cohesive society.  

Mr. John Monteiro, convenor of the MLC Felicitation Program, honored MLC Mr. Ivan D’Souza by introducing him to the gathering and outlining his political journey, highlighting the challenges he overcame to achieve success.

Mr. Ivan D’Souza’s significant contributions to the community’s development were recognized with great respect. In his acceptance speech, he expressed his gratitude to the convenor Mr. John Monteiro, the reverend priests, the president, office bearers, and all members of the Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Deanery. He noted that beyond recognition, such programs offer valuable opportunities to connect with the community and understand their needs and expectations.

Mr. Ivan D’Souza also spoke about the support and contributions of the government toward the advancement of the Catholic community. He outlined the plans, schemes, programs, facilities, and responsibilities that the Karnataka government has provided to address the community’s needs. He emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue with government officials for effective advocacy.

Mr. Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC BANK Ltd, and Mr. Steeven Rodrigues, vice president of the Catholic Sabha Central Council and former president of the Episcopal City Deanery, joined in felicitating the MLC.

Mr. Kishore Fernandes conducted the proceedings, with Mr. Lancy Lasrado assisting in the coordination. The secretary, Mr. Rohan L. Sequeira, proposed the vote of thanks.  

The program concluded with the National Anthem.

ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಮಂಗ್ಳುರ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ( ರಿ) - ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೊಪಲ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವಲಯದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷದ್ ಸದಸ್ಯಾ - ಎಂ.ಎಲ್.ಸಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ರವರಿಗೆ - ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು  ಅದಿತ್ಯವಾರ  10 ಘಂಟೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಎಂ.ಸಿ.ಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಹಂಪನ್ಕಟಾ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೊಪಲ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವಲಯದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಐಡಾ ಫುರ್ಟಾಡೊ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಪೂಜನೀಯ ಧರ್ಮಗುರು - ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ - ಬೊನಂವೆಂಚರ್ ನಜರೇತ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಅತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ವಂದನೀಯ ಗುರು ಜೋನ್ ವಾಸ್ , ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಸ್ಟೀವನ್ ರೊಡ್ರಿಗಸ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ರೋಹನ್ ಸಿಕ್ವೇರಾ , ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರು ರಚನಾ ಸಂಘಟನಾ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರು ಆದ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಜೋನ್ ಮೊಂತೇರೊ ,  ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂ.ಸಿ.ಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಚೇರ್ ಮ್ಯಾನ್ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಅನಿಲ್ ಲೋಬೊ ಗಣ್ಯವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ವೇದಿಕೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಕಾರ್ಯದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು - ಉದ್ಘಾಟಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಗುರು ಬೊನಂವೆಂಚರ್ ನಜರೇತ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ  ಅಧ್ಯತ್ಮಿಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ವಂದನೀಯ ಗುರು ಜೋನ್ ವಾಸ್ ಇವರು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಿಕ ಭಾಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಉದ್ದೇಶದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ - ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಬಲ - ಚಲವಾದಿಯಾಗಿ - ಕಾರ್ಯ ನೆರೆವೇರಿಸಿ - ಇತರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಘಟಿತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ - ಈ ಚಲ - ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಣ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಎಂಬ-  ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.  

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಾನ್ ಮೊಂತೇರೊ ಅವರು ಎಂಎಲ್ಸಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಭೆಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಗೌರವಿಸಿದರು. ರೊಸಾರಿಯೊ ಘಟಕದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಫಿಲಿಪ್ ಪಿರೇರಾ ಅವರು ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವನ್ನು ವಾಚಿಸಿದರು.

ಎಂ.ಎಲ್.ಸಿ. ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವಿಜೃಂಭಣೆಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಯಿತು - ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿತ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಐವನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ - ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಸಹಜವಾಗಿ - ಸಲೀಸಾದದು ಅಲ್ಲ - ಅ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲು - ಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಡೆದು - ಜನರ ಅಹವಾಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶೃಮಿಸುವ - ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ರಾಜಿಕೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ತರಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು , ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೀಮಿತವಲ್ಲದೆ - ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು, ಯೋಜನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಷ್ಟಾನ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಎಕೈಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯವೂ ನನ್ನದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಂತೋಷ ವ್ಯಕ್ತ ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಅವರು - ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ - ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಮಾನ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ಎಕೇಂದರೆ - ನಾವೂ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನವರು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದವರು - ವಿಧ್ಯಾವಂತರು - ಸಮರ್ಥರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸದಾ - ಕಾರ್ಯಾನ್ಮುಕರು ಅದುದರಿಂದ - ರಾಜಕೀಯವನ್ನು ಕಡೆಗಣೆಸುವ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಇಂದು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಂತೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯದಿಂದ ರಾಜಿಕೀಯವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆ ವೃಧಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ - ತಮಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ - ಕಥೊಲಿಕ್ ಸಭಾ - ಎಪಿಸ್ಕೊಪಲ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವಲಯದ - ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಫೆರ್ನಾಂಡಿಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು. ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ಲ್ಯಾನ್ಸಿ ಲಸ್ರಾದೊ ಸಹ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾಗಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಶ್ರೀಮಾನ್ ರೋಹನ್ ಎಲ್ ಸಿಕ್ವೇರಾ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು
