Udupi, September 15: With the important objective of conveying the values ​​of democracy to the people, a 2500 km human chain was organized in the state from Bidar to Chamarajanagar, as part of which, around 107 km of National Highway 66 from Shiruru Toll Gate in Byndur Taluk to Hejamadi Bridge in Kapu Taluk, the district borders long human chain formation program was held today Sunday in the morning. District level platform program was held near Kinnimulki Swagat Gopuram in Udupi, Taluk level at Maravante Kundapur Brahmavar and Uchila. Students and public held hands and formed a human chain.

District Collector Dr. K. Vidyakumari inaugurated the program held at the district level and after this, she said that the state government has organized an innovative human chain program with the aim of spreading the values ​​of the constitution everywhere, and said that democracy will become stronger and become a secure foundation for everyone’s life.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Kiran S Gangannawar said, "Our rights will be understood only when we understand our responsibilities. The peace and order of the country will be good with the responsible behavior of the citizen. The wishes of the Constitution should be reflected in our conduct. He said that the sacrifices of Mahatma who brought freedom by incorporating the ideas of the constitution into daily life should be given meaning.

Our Constitution recognizes every citizen as a sovereign. He said that the better the people who administer the constitution, the better the constitution will be.

 On this occasion, a “Democracy Wish Brief” prepared by the Zilla Panchayat was released.

The program concluded with raising two hands in the human chain program and shouting the slogan Jai Hind Jai Karnataka. Plants were distributed to school and college students and general public.
