Udupi : The 38th Ganeshostsava celebrations of Santhekatte, Kallianpur concluded with immersion of beautiful Ganesha Idol in Suvarna river here in Kallianpur with great joy, vigor and enthusiasm on Tuesday, 10th September, 2024
Large number of people without sense of caste, religion and political parties joined the procession during the dispersion in the evening which began from Santhekatte, behind Madhuvan Hotel and culminated at Kalavina Bagilu, Kallianpur Swarna riverside.
During the procession several veshadaries were participated throughout at the end of the immersion of Ganesha Idol in Suvarna river. The immersion procession began after the exhibition of various fancy dress holders and Veshadaries at Santhekatte and proceeded towards Kallianpur with the support by Tablo dance by youngsters.
Meanwhile Kallianpur Shop Owners Association organized dances by the students and show of fancy dress holders with lots of fun. Traditionally Tiger Dancers and other exhibited their talents on the dais specially prepared in front of Milagres Cathedral which was organized by Kallianpur Shop Owners Association usually organizing since 37 years.
Ganesha’s idol dispersed after three days end of vedic celebrations and cultural programmes at behind the Madhuvan Hotel in the evening. Various competitions for the students also organized and prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions. On fourth day the Ganesh idol was dispersed in the river Suvarna at Kallianpura.
