Udupi: Kaup MLA’s work is going on to promote commercialization in Kapu legislative constituency area. Allocating funds to his own contractors. Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Monday, July 29, Vinay Kumar Sorake hitting back at BJP district president Kishore Kumar’s statement in Udupi, he lashed out that the development of the constituency will not be achieved by mere vows or chanting against the constitution.

Sorake said that the fund coming to MLA’s fund is Rs 2 crore per year. It was released last year. Rs. 55 lakhs in the first phase this year was also released. In the same way, grants are being released for own businesses. In order to solve the sea erosion, for the stone putting at sea bank, a grant released about 10 crores. In one panchayat, there are three hundred to four hundred house placement applications pending.

He said that not one plot has been given in the last five years. It has been a quarter of a year now. Kaup MLA is not taking a single word about it. It has been six years since Ellur IT College received a grant of five crores. Space has not been allotted yet. Similarly, due to the lack of will power of the legislators, various grants are not coming. He retorted that none of the remaining MLAs are saying that the grant is not coming.

Even when government land was widely sold in Suzlan, MLA did not hesitate. Roads are bad. He stung that he has completely neglected the field.

Vinay Kumr Sorake said that Kishore Kumar, who is the BJP district president, lost his deposit by contesting the Kundapur elections. I was once a member of the Lok Sabha. I was an MLA three times. I was a minister once. He retorted that where is the morality of asking for my political retirement.
