Udupi, Jul 26 : Former MLA Vinaya Kumar, who has been rejected by the people of Kapu assembly constituency twice in a row, calling it the last election, instead of retiring with dignity, is doing petty politics with the malicious intent of hiding the bankruptcy and scandals of the Congress-led state government, and is running low-level slander against the popular MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty of Kapu constituency. BJP Udupi District President Kishore Kumar Kundapura expressed outrage that the act of stealth is condemnable.

Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Friday, July 26, on behalf of Kaup BJP unit, Kishore Kumar Kundapur said that Vinaya Kumar Sorake, who has accused ’neglect of development as an excuse for lack of grants’, should first give details to Congress party legislators about the amount of grants released by the state government in the current year and the great development work undertaken by them. The bankruptcy of the state government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, which is mired in universal corruption and scandals, unable to fulfill the fake guarantees announced by the lust for power, is well known.

Sorake, who is accusing the state government of not releasing even a single penny for MLA’s Local Area Development Fund and any other development projects, said that there is no solution to the problem of sea mining and said that their government needs to introspect on how much money has been spent on development.

In the legislative meeting of the Congress party, the party men said that the Congress party itself did not give the grant for the development of the constituency. Did Sorake not notice the opposite? Or is this a clever blind show by Sorake?

Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty called the concerned ministers and officials for the last one and a half years to find a suitable solution to the problem, but the state government, which is riddled with fortunes and scandals, has not sanctioned even a single penny, he said.

Sorake, who is falsely promising that he will call the contractor at his house and get funds from various departments, can he also promise to get grant for sea erosion and get this work done by the contractor?

Sorake, who has lost people’s support, is ignoring the rights and responsibilities of legislators in administrative and development matters, and is causing problems in administrative and development matters by directly and indirectly influencing the officials that their government exists? He questioned.

Rs. 100 crores when Sorake was announced the Kapu municipality. They have lied that they have given grants. Let them answer where that grant went. Also, about 500 have laid the foundation stone for the house sites, without giving any grant for drinking water to the municipality.

MLA Gurme as the People’s Representative of Kapu Constituency personally met the concerned departmental ministers regarding the development of roads, construction of permanent barriers in coastal areas, development of tourism sites, river bank protection, construction of Kindi Dams, development of public roads, infrastructure for Scheduled Caste and Tribe colonies etc. He said that it is the current state Congress government’s ambition that the development work should not be done on purpose even though it has been submitted.

Such a politician who wants to reverse the development of the village by standing in favor of the Panchayat Development Officers who are causing problems to the public work, has no morals to talk about Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty who has maintained integrity in public life with social service. It is better for Sorake to develop an attitude of responding to the development work of the constituency as a responsible ex-MLA instead of making absurd statements with the malicious intent of provoking Kapu MLAs just for the sake of publicity. Kishore Kumar said that the BJP is always ready to give a befitting reply if this trend continues.

BJP Kapu Mandal President Jitendra Shetty and immediate past Mandal President, District Secretary Shrikant Naik spoke and condemned the behavior of ex-MLA Vinaya Kumar Sorake, who is spreading slander with the malicious intention of tarnishing the charisma of Kapu Assembly Constituency gentleman, activist MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, and warned that if such obsession continues, a mass movement will be launched and protest against Sorake.
