Udupi : Under the leadership of Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the parent organization of various businesses in Udupi district to organize interaction programme on  ‘Udupi Tourism yesterday, today and tomorrow’ on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Madhavkrishna Auditorium, Kidiyoor Hotels, Udupi.

Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Wednesday, Ammunje Prabhakar Nayak, President of Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that in this symposium, tourism partners, organizers and experts will present their views and opinions on the current situation, opportunities, problems, expectations and growth of Udupi tourism.

The event will be held from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Udupi MLA Yashpal Anand Suvarna will inaugurate the event at 10.30 am.

Former Karnataka Government Minister V. Sunil Kumar and Udupi district MLAs Gurme Suresh Shetty (Kapu), Gururaj Gantihole (Baindur) and Kiran Kumar Kodgi (Kundapur) will participate in the program and will talk about tourism in their constituency. And Udupi District Collector Dr K. Vidya Kumari, Former MLA and Honorary President of District Auto and Taxi Association K. Raghupathi Bhatt, President of Coastal Tourism Organization Manohar S. Shetty, Head of Surgery Department of Manipal Hospital Dr. Kiran Acharya, District Automobile Association Representative- Prasad Raj Kanchan, Udupi Tourism Assistant Director- Kumar C.U. And representatives of various associations and organizations will present their views.

He said that Central government bank,  Union Bank is participating in this program as a promoter and will provide information about providing loan facilities to eligible tourism activities of the district. Members and representatives of various associations and organizations related to tourism participating in this program can submit their views and complaints on this occasion. District stakeholders should participate and make the program a success.
