Udupi, July 08 : It has been raining continuously for the past few days in the district and as per the red alert forecast of the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the rain will increase, as a precautionary measure, a holiday has been announced for the students of Anganwadi Centers, Primary, High School and Pre-Graduate Colleges in all the taluks of the district on July 9 in the interest of the students. All other degrees, post- graduation, diploma, engineering and ITIs will not be declared holiday.
