Udupi : Late Danthi Memorial Purashakar 2023, was awarded to Vinisha Rodrigues of Thirthahalli on June 9, 2024 at Anugraha, Udupi Diocesan Pastoral Center near hear at Kakkunje.

Vinisha Rodrigues book Ettinagadi Express part 2 had been selected for Late Danthi Memorial Award 2023 2023 which is presented by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh for Christian writers. The award consists of Rs. 25,000 cash along with a citation and memento. Rev Fr. Denis D’Sa, Udupi diocesan Public Relation Offer presented the award for Vinisha Rodrigues. Late Danthi Memorial Purashkar has been given to literary writers by the Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh.

Former President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Alphonse D’Costa, Convener of the Late Danthi Puraskar Committee introduced the awardee Vinisha Rodrigues.

Santhosh Cornelio President of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh and office bearers, Chief guests Clifford Lobo and Denis D’Silva, Spiritual Director Monsignor Ferdinand Gonsalves and others were present.

In her response after the award, Vinisha Rodrigues said that the especially youth today are showing more interest in social networking media sites and the number of people who buy books and reading habit becoming scarce. There should need to work done to encourage the young and people at large to buy books and encourage the publishers. She appreciated the Catholic Sabha for encouraging the writers and she gave gratitude to the Catholic Sabha and Late Danthi Purashkar Committee.
