National Service Scheme (NSS) Annual Special Camp – 14-2-24 to 20-2-24, in Nittoor.
It’s a matter of joy for the Milagres College, Kallianpur, to organize our NSS annual camp at this school said Very Rev. Fr Valerian Mendonca, Correspondent of Milagres College Kallianpur speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of NSS annual camp in the school hall. If the college students through NSS will become of some use to the public undoubtedly is a matter of pride for all of us at Milagres he added.
He thanked the school administration for the opportunity. The camp has been organized at the Government Model Higher Primary School, Hanumanthnagar, Nittoor, Udupi.
Mrs. Molly D’Souza, Headmistress, Government Model Higher Primary School, Hanumanthnagar, Nittoor Udupi, and Mrs. Musharath Jahaan Akbar, Headmistress, Government High School, Hanumanthnagar, Nittoor, Udupi were present and assured their support to the camp throughout.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vincent Alva, the Principal of the college in his talk emphasized more on the difference between being educated and being literate. The NSS discipline should be a way of life he stressed and wished the camp all success. Dr Vincent Alva also thanked the school for making all the arrangements in their campus for the camp.
Mr Amith, President of the school betterment committee, and Mr Yuvaraj from the Udupi town municipal corporation were present. Both of them assured their assistance for the entire camp.
Ms. Dhanya from II B.A, compered the program and Mr Akash from II B.Com welcomed the gathering.
Mr Pramod, the NSS leader proposed a vote of thanks.
