Santhekatte: Man stabs woman in broad daylight, slits own throat
Santhekatte Aug 30: In a shocking incident, a man stabbed a woman and then tried to end life by slitting his own throat, here on Monday August 30.
The girl was travelling on a scooter near Santhekatte petrol pump here when the said incident took place.
The girl is said to be the resident of Ambagilu here.
The man and the woman were traveling in two separate vehicles.
Both the girl and the boy are critically injured in the incident. They were admitted to a private hospital at Manipal.
According to sources, the man waylaid the woman and stabbed her stomach with a knife. He then slit his own throat.
A one-sided love affair is suspected to be the reason behind the attack.
The man and woman both are said to be locals.
