Print ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್.ಕೆ.ಜಿ ಯಿಂದ ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ವರೆಗೆ ಕಲಿತು 2016 ಎಸ್.ಎಸ್.ಎಲ್.ಸಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಕು. ಮೆಲಿಸ್ಸಾ ಲೂವಿಸ್ ಈಗ ಪಿ.ಎಚ್.ಡಿ ಪದವೀದರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 2013 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ಬಯೋಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಟಿಸ್‍ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತರ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು. ತದನಂತರ 2018ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪುದುಚೆರಿಯ ಡಾ. ಎನ್ ಶ್ರೀಕುಮಾರ್ ನಾಯರ್ ರವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿ. ಎಚ್. ಡಿ ಯನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ಪ್ರಬಂಧದ ವಿಷಯ “Application of Bayesian methods in public health evidence synthesis” ವಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಕು. ಮೆಲಿಸ್ಸಾರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೌಢ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಯಾಣಪುರದ ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿ, ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಎಮ್.ಜಿ.ಎಮ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದರು. ಗಣಿತ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಟಿಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಭಿರುಚಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡರು. ಮಣಿಪಾಲದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ಬಯೋಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಟಿಸ್‍ಸ್ಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತರ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ನಂತರ ಪಿ.ಎಚ್. ಡಿ ಮಾಡಲು ಪಣತೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಅವರು ಈವರೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 13 ಲೇಖನಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಷ್ತ್ರೀಯ ನಿಯತಕಾಲಿಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 11 ರಾಷ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರಾಷ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಸಮಾವೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳು:
ಕು. ಮೆಲಿಸ್ಸಾ ಇವರಿಗೆ “ಗಿರಿಕಾಂತ ಶುಕ್ಲಾ ಯುವ ಬಯೋಮೆಟ್ರಿಕ್” ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ , “ ಕೆ. ಆರ್ ಸುಂದರಾಮ್ ಯುವ ಸಂಶೋಧಕಿ” ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ 2014 ರಲ್ಲಿ “ಕೊಕ್ರೇನ್ ಆನ್ನೆ ಆಂಡರ್ಸನ್” ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳು ದೊರಕಿವೆ.
ಮೂಲತ: ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ್ಪುರದ ತೋನ್ಸೆಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಬರ್ಟಿ ಆಂತೋನಿ ಲೂವಿಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಗ್ರೆಟ್ಟಾ ಲೂವಿಸ್ ಇವರ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರಿಯಳು. ಹಿರಿಯವಳು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಬೆಲಿಟಾ ಲೂವಿಸ್, ಕಿರಿಯಳು ಮೆಲ್ಸಿಸ್ಸಾ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಇವರು ಹೈದರಬಾದಿನ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಇನ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಅಫ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಿಲಾಗ್ರಿಸ್ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಶಾಲೆಯು ಇವರ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 19 ರಂದು ನಡೇಯುವ ಶಾಲಾ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡಿ ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸಲಿದೆ.
