Udupi : The real Meaning of Christmas is peace, love, forgiveness & helping each other. But in the modern days we have forgotten what Christmas is & we focus just on celebration & partying.

In Christian Community there are many different denominations.  So we thought to get them all together on one platform to celebrate Christmas in a proper way. So we produced one Video on that topic called “Christ & Christmas”. (It’s on my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_mB8BdKavM)

The Impact or the outcome of this Video is “CHRISTMAS GODALI”   concept.

“Christmas Godali” concept is organized by Roshan Belman & DJ Mervin.  

(Both are from Belman. Roshan is a Musician & Mervin is a DJ by Profession.)

About “Christmas Godali”

We with our close friends & family members decided to help 50 families with the capital amount of Rs. 1, 00,000/-). It was an offer of free – shopping for the Needy People worth Rs. 2,000/- per family.

With the help Sr. Usha Stella (Superior, Don Bosio Convent, Belman) & some reputed personalities in the society & through our own effort we found out the Real Needy people.

We rented a super market for 4 days (21 Dec – 24 Dec) where all the needy people can come & shop whatever they need in these 4 days. But now this Project has risen up to Rs. 3, 00,000/- with the help of kind hearted people (sponsors) & we hope 150 needy families will get the benefit of this project by Christmas (24 December).

The Christmas Godali Supermarket was inaugurated by Mr. John Cardoza, attender at St. Joseph High School, Belman from the Past 30 years.  Because of his sincerity & dedication in his work from the past 30 years we decided to give him an honor & he is the first benefiter of this Christmas Godali project. He purchased Rs. 2,000/- worth household items for his family.

(There were no any Political leaders or any VIP’s)

Inauguration Date & Time: 21 December 2016, @ 8.30 a.m.

The Christmas Godali Super Market is located : Opposite Government Hospital, Belman.

This is not organized by any Clubs or Social organizations. It’s our own plan & project. (By Roshan Belman & DJ Mervin).

Our Motto:

·         To give the real meaning of Christmas to the society.

·         We publicized this project through Social Media to inspire the people, Specially the Youths.
