Acharya Devo Bhava: A Bharatanatyam Tribute to the Gurus

Bangalore, July 2025 – In the spirit of reverence and gratitude, Natanam School of Dance, under the guidance of Dr. Raksha, proudly presents “Acharya Devo Bhava” — a Bharatanatyam performance dedicated to the eternal spirit of the Guru, past, present, and timeless.

Scheduled for Sunday, 13th July 2025, at 5:00 PM, at Vyoma Art Space, 126/A, 8th Main, 3rd Phase, JP Nagar, this soulful evening is a humble offering by Dr. Raksha and her disciples. Through this performance, they seek to honor the Gurus who illuminate the path of knowledge, devotion, and discipline.

The presentation will unfold through intricate rhythmic footwork, expressive abhinaya, and sacred compositions, invoking the essence of guru bhakti — the spiritual devotion to one’s teacher. Rooted in tradition and infused with deep emotional resonance, the evening promises to be a moving experience for both seasoned connoisseurs and those newly discovering the classical arts.

As part of the Guru Poornima celebrations, the event will also witness the conferment of the SHRESTA  ACHARYA  PURASKAR  — a mark of deep respect and honor for outstanding contributions to the world of classical dance. This year’s awardees include :
