The International Day of Peace (Peace Day) is observed around the world every year on 21 September. This as a day devoted to commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace. In this connection Youth Red Cross Mangalore University and Indian Red Cross Society, D K District Branch has Jointly Organizing an Walkathon on September 21, 2024 at pilikula Vamajoor.
Mangalore City District Police Commissioner B.P. Dinesh Kumar will inaugurating this event. District Working Journalists Association President P.B. Harish Rai will be the chief guest of the program.
CA Shantaram Shetty, President of Dakshina Kannada District Branch of Indian Red Cross Society, IRCS D.K. Branch Secretary Kishorchandra Hegde, Nodal Officer of Mangalore University Youth Red Cross Unit Dr. Gayatri N. And the treasurer of IRCS district unit Mohan Shetty will be present, said the nodal officer of Mangalore University Youth Red Cross unit in the press release.
