Print National Service Scheme (NSS) orientation program at Milagres, Kallianpur.
On September 17, 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) orientation program for fresh volunteers was conducted with great enthusiasm. Mr. Ganesh Nayak, the NSS officer, provided an insightful briefing to the second-year volunteers regarding the NSS action plan for 2024-25. In his address, he emphasized the importance of leadership and encouraged the students to cultivate leadership qualities that would not only benefit them personally but also inspire their peers. As senior volunteers, Mr. Nayak urged them to be role models for the first-year students, motivating them to actively participate in all NSS activities and programs. He provided examples of how senior volunteers could serve as leaders and set a positive example for others to follow.
The session was highly interactive, with both the volunteers and the NSS officers engaging in meaningful discussions. Mr. Nayak, along with his colleague Mrs. Shubhalatha, also shared valuable suggestions and guidelines to help the volunteers make the most of their NSS journey. Faculty members from the Department of Commerce, Mrs. Radhika Patkar and Mrs. Chaithra, along with Mr. Ravinandan Bhat, the Public Relations Officer (PRO), were also present during the program, lending their support and guidance. The session concluded with a sense of motivation and purpose, as the volunteers were encouraged to take up the mantle of leadership and contribute positively to their communities through their involvement in NSS.
