Soft skills training program at Milagres College Kallinpur, Udupi

The soft skills training program, jointly organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the Department of Computer Application, and the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, successfully concluded on September 11, 2024. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Vincent Alva, Principal of the college, highlighted the significance of soft skills training in conjunction with academic pursuits, emphasizing the importance of developing employability skills among students. Renowned freelancer and soft skills trainer, Mr. Jaikishan Bhat from Udupi, led an engaging session, enlightening students on various career opportunities and internships. Through interactive games and activities, he clarified the importance of creative thinking, critical thinking, and analytical thinking, providing students with practical insights and skills. Additionally, he offered hands-on training on generating E-signatures, resume writing using Canva, and website building, empowering students with essential skills to enhance their employability and online presence.

The program was attended by esteemed faculty members, including Mrs. Shylet Mathias, Head of the Department of Commerce and IQAC Coordinator; Mr. Ganesh Nayak, Placement Officer; and Mrs. Shubhalatha, Ms. Anvitha, and Ms. Chaithra from the Department of Commerce, who graced the occasion with their presence. By focusing on both academic and soft skills development, this comprehensive training program aimed to equip students with the necessary skills to succeed in their future endeavors.
