Mangaluru: 40 participants representing 9 countries, U.K, U.S.A, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Malaysia, Spain, Barbados, and Canada are looking for a lifetime experience.
They will be riding 16 rickshaws and will travel from Mumbai to Chennai through Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, covering over 2000 kms which will be an adventurous tour studying Indian art, culture, tradition.
The rally is sponsored by Madras RT 42. The rickshaws will reach Mangaluru at D.K.Z.P School Mallikatta, today at 09.00 am. They will be welcomed by the office bearers of Mangalore Round Table 115 and will have an interaction with them and exchange views. All the teams will be flagged off at 09.30 am by MRT 115 member Deepak Ramani for their onward journey to Chennai via Mysore.
The participants, during their journey will be making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged by raising funds for the Round Table National project ‘Freedom Through Education’ in pursuit of educating poor rural children which is a noble cause.
