Bahrain based Leeladhar Baikampady honoured with ‘Samaaj Ratna Rashtreeya Puraskar”

Bangalore: Reputed Jnana Mandara Educational & Cultural Academy which is based in Bangalore has chosen the Bahrain based achiever, non-resident Kannadiga Leeladhar Baikampady for its prestigious national level ‘Samaaj Ratna Rashtreeya Puraskar - 2015’ and recently presented the accolade to the winner in Bangalore. This honour was supposed to be received at the ceremony held in Malaysia during January 2015 and it was not done so as the winner was absent at the ceremony.

This award is his third consecutive national level award which he has received in a span of less than a year. In just one year’s duration he has already received two other national level prestigious awards i.e. ‘Rashtreeya Bhushan’ national award from Bangalore based ‘Sir M. Vishweshwarayya Foundation’ and ‘Rastreeya Ektaa Award’ from New Delhi based ‘All India National Unity Council’. This coveted third national level award i.e. the ‘Samaaj Ratna’ has made him the first Bahrain based Non-Resident-Indian or Kannadiga to achieve the hat-trick awards feat in a year’s period.

He has been chosen for this revered national level award in recognition of his remarkable and unceasing contributions to the diversified fields of youth organizing, social service, land & language, literature, culture, charity and also for social organization related activities carried out in his life since past 28 years.  Starting from his young age, he has engaged himself in organizing the youth, serving the society and humanity through his multidimensional activities and still continuing all his activities in the locations like Undivided South Kanara, Bangalore, Mumbai and also in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He has been living in the Kingdom of Bahrain since past 17 years and here he is the member of esteemed Social Organizations like The Indian Club, Karnataka Social Club and Maharashtra Cultural Society. He also serves as the decadal President of Mogaveers Bahrain which is presently engaged in their year-long decennial celebrations. He also serves the society in his individual capacity and through the family foundation i.e. Kaanchan Foundation. He has been well-recognized as the youth activist, youth organizer, social & charity activist, writer, award winning stage artist, progressive thinker and a dynamic youth leader.       
The ‘Samaaj Ratna Rashtreeya Puraskar - 2015’ was presented to him by AICC member Ms. Shashikala V. Kavali in a ceremony held at Herambha Hotel Auditorium in Bangalore. On this occasion the Academy Secretary General H. Somashekhar, Mahesh Kumar T. J. [Vice President. Karnataka State Govt. Employees Association], M. J. Rao [Editor – Suma Saurabha] and other dignitaries were also present.
