Boy dies in hospital after being operated for fracture in hand

Ujire: In a tragic incident, a six year of boy who had fractured his hand while getting off a JCB, died on Wednesday night while being moved from a private hospital in Ujire to Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru in an ambulance.
With this the parents have alleged the private hospital of medical negligence.
The deceased is Kavan (6), son of Rajesh from Belthangady.
Kavan had injured his hand while getting off a JCB on Tuesday. When he was taken to a private hospital in Ujire, the doctors there said that Kavan will have to undergo an operation. However, after the operation, the hospital had asked the parents of the boy to take him to Wenlock hospital owing to some problems in the heart.
Unfortunately, the boy breathed his last on the way to Mangaluru and the doctors who treated him did not have an answer for the same. The boy’s father had filed a complaint against the private hospital.
An autopsy was being performed at the Wenlock Hospital mortuary on Wednesday night.
