Boy goes missing after venturing out for swimming with friends

Print Vittal: A ten-year-old boy who had ventured out to play with his friendson Sunday never returned home.
The missing boy is Ravoof, son of Kolambe Abdul Razak and a student of Bolanthimogaru Zilla Panchayat School.
It is said that Ravoof was on fasting due to Ramzaan, and when he did not return home to break the fast on Sunday evening, the family members launched a search operation. From neighbours, they could find that at about 4 pm, he had come to a place called Jakimoole, with his friends Rameez, Hakeem and Asif to swim in a pond.
When Ravoof’s family quizzed the friends who had accompanied him, they revealed that Ravoof had drowned. The frightened trio did not reveal any more details. The behaviour of the children has sparked a sense of suspicion, leading the case to become all the more mysterious.
The locals say that the boy must have either drowned or there is some other story attached to the case, which the trio is not willing speak out.
On the other hand, Ravoof’s T-Shirt and footwear were recovered from the bank of the pond. Over 80 people plunged into the water body to retrieve the body of the boy who is feared drowned.
