Eid Al Fitr holidays announced in UAE; could be 5 days

It will be 4 days if Ramadan ends Friday and 5 days if it ends Saturday
Civil servants in the UAE could enjoy a five-day holiday towards the weekend to mark Eid Al Fitr (end of fasting) if Ramadan completes 30 days and ends on Saturday.
But the holiday will be four days if the Fasting month completes 29 days on Thursday and ends on Friday.
In case Ramadan ends on Saturday, then this day will be the first of the Islamic lunar month of Shawwal. In this case, the holiday will be five days as a circular by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said all federal departments will be closed on Thursday and work will resume on Shawwal 4, which is Tuesday.
In case Ramadan ends on Friday, the holiday will be four days starting on Thursday as Shawwal 4 will be on Monday.
Saudi Arabia has already announced a 12-day holiday to mark Eid Al Fitr while Kuwait may have a 10-day break. Other Gulf nations have yet to set the Eid holidays.
In a statement on the occasion, the Federal Authority conveyed greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
The authority also offered greetings to the people of the UAE and the Arab and Muslim nations around the world.
