Bank robbery goes awry, thieves take away computer monitor

Kaup : A gang of four men who had plotted a bank theft hoping to do away with huge amount of gold and cash had to be happy with just a desktop!
It is said that four unidentified offenders gained entry into Fishermen Multi-Purpose Primary Co-operative Bank located in Manipur on Sunday late night. Though they could break open the gate and main door of the bank, their talent fell short to open the bank locker. Disappointed with this, the thieves must have decided to leave the place, but finally took away a computer monitor worth Rs 4,000.
The incident came to light on Monday morning after the bank officials saw the broken lock and opened gates.
Kaup police have registered a case and investigation is on.
