Rickshaw-Car collision at Mulky leaves two critical

Mulky: A confusion in observing the indicator of an auto rickshaw resulted in an accident between a car and a rickshaw, leaving three injured this morning at Mulky in Mangaluru-Udupi national highway. The two travelling in rickshaw are said to be critical as they have sustained grave injuries on their head. They have been identified as Vishvanatha Bangera (65) and Rathnavarma Jain (70), who were admitted to the nearby private hospital. The driver of the car is also injured and is being treated in the same hospital. While the rickshaw was turning towards Mulky market carrying beedi leaves, the speeding car which was moving towards Udupi is said to have banged the rickshaw from the side after failing to observe the indicator of the rickshaw. The locals gathered in large number helped in shifting the injured to the hospital through 108. The locals urged for placement of proper sign boards as the diversion has become a deadly spot for many commuters.
