ITM University, Gurgaon Student Pulkit Garg Represents Varsity in Entrepreneurship Expedition ‘Jagriti Yatra’
• Jagriti Yatra selects highly motivated young people between the ages of 20 and 27 out of a pool of about 40,000 applicants
• Pulkit leads the team in the final round of competition, in which four teams will fight soon to get rewarded with Rs 1 Lakh from Google for Entrepreneurs to execute their ideas
New Delhi, February 21, 2015: ITM University, Gurgaon looks to provide ample entrepreneurship-training opportunities to its students and recently its student Pulkit Garg was selected for the highly renowned ‘Jagriti Yatra’ that takes budding entrepreneurs and other distinguished achievers across India, introduces them to like-minded peers and helps them explore wider horizons.
During the 15-day Jagriti Yatra, an intitaive of an NGO, Pulkit had the opportunity to criss-cross different cities like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, among many others.
At Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, Pulkit participated in a competition where the participants created social business model under BGT-Biz Gyan Tree. Pulkit in the role of the CEO of the Community Radio model displayed his impeccable skills, leaving the audience enraptured. Competing with 50 teams in seven different verticals, Pulkit with his strenuous efforts led his team to the final round of competition. The final round will be held soon at Deoria where the top four teams will be awarded Rs 1 Lakh from Google for Entrepreneurs to execute their ideas.

Google for Entrepreneurs, PwC, In 50hrs, Let’s Start Up and The Indian Express are associated with Jagriti Yatra, which selects highly motivated young people between the ages of 20 and 27 out of a pool of about 40,000 applicants.
Pulkit also got an opportunity to study the social and business models of organizations like SELCO (Hubli), Infosys (Bangalore), Gram Vikas (Berhampur), Nalanda University (Rajgir), Goonj (New Delhi), Barefoot College (Tilonia) and many more. Along with role model visits, the Yatris also held panel discussions covering a variety of topics ranging from IT to education, with a common foundation of how entrepreneurship can bring a change as the motto of the voyage was ‘We are India, We are Change’.
