Not implementing revised fares in Buses and Rickshaw, DC warns of legal action

Mangaluru: The Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada AB Ibrahim has warned of legal action against the auto rickshaw and the bus operators in the district if the revised fares are implemented as per the decision of Regional Transport Authority(RTA). In a media release he has said that the auto rickshaw fares and private bus fares have been revised from 12 January and it is the duty of the concerned auto rickshaw and bus operators to implement the same. They have to display the revised rates in their respective vehicles and follow them accordingly. The DC has also said that few complaints regarding not implementation of revised fares have been received by the district administration. If found legal action will be taken by the transport and police departments against the ones not following the revised fares of RTA.
