Now a guide to manage your marriage

Mumbai, Dec 21, 2014: Men don’t understand their wive’s and women don’t understand their husbands is a common common joke, and is a common problem too. Problems range from unfulfilled expectations, sex & intimacy, cultural barriers, infidelity, drinking, past baggage, communication and more. These problems can be tackled if the couple and their relatives get their basics right. Marriage is the one Institution that needs more management than any other, but there is lack of information on the subject. Now help is at hand, in the form of a new book ’Basics of Marriage Management’ authored by management guru Walter Vieira, which gives a comprehensive insight on the subject. Over the years, Walter Vieira has authored 10 books and most of them are the best sellers in their category.

Over 30 years ago, after the great success of our book "Marketing- Key to business success today", my co-author, Prof Northcote Parkinson of "Parkinson Law "fame,and doyen of management in the 60,s to 80,s suggested that we write a book on Marriage. His argument was that it was as important to follow the principles of management in Marriage, as in every other field. And so we started the journey. The book was published as - Roses, roses, all the way.The management of Marriage. Looking back over three decades, I decided that the book in its entirety is still relevant. This book, now introduced as “Basics of Marriage Management", can be a help to those who intend to get married; others who are already married; and even those others who are much married - so that they can refer to the guidelines , and then work out their own solutions.
