Unable to pursue academics, MIT student ends life

Udupi: A 23-year-old student of Manipal Institute of Technology, hailing from Bagalkot committed suicide by hanging himself at his rented house located near MGM college on Monday night. The incident came to light on Tuesday morning.
The deceased is Abhijith R, a first year M.Tech student. Abhijith has left behind a death note stating that he had difficulties in pursuing his studies. His parents are practicing doctors in Bagalkot.
Superintendent of Police P Rajendra Prasad and Manipal station police personnel visited the spot and shifted the body to mortuary. A case has been registered.
