Udupi : As many as 21 new positive cases for COVID-19 and no death reported in Udupi district on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Total discharges today are 13 and active cases increased to 84.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 21 covid positive cases, 16 cases reported as symptomatic which are 10 male and 6 are  female, meanwhile out of 5 cases of asymptomatic  2 are  male and 3 are female. 

Among 21 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 11, from Kundapura 5, Karkala taluk is 4 and from other districts is 1. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 5 and at Home Isolation are 16.

Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 08.10.2021 are 3139 and total tested on second wave till 08.10.2021 is 793296. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1161537. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 09.10.2021 during second wave are 13 and total discharges on second wave are 52502.  Total discharges in the district are 76481.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. No death reported on second wave occurred today on Saturday on 9.10.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 284.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 474

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52870. Total positives in the district are increased to 76481.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Saturday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 88 and cumulative total 438635 second dose 590 cumulative second dose 134316, above 45 years Ist dose are 36 and cumulative total  433114, IInd dose 253 and cumulative total 264964, for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 0, cumulative total is 22755, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 0 and cumulative total  is 6474. Total today Ist dose are 124 which cumulative total is 903399, IInd dose 843, Cumulative total 428509.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 09.10.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 09.10.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 09.10.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 09.10.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 09.10.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
