Udupi : As many as 69 new positive cases for COVID-19 and no deaths reported in Udupi district on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Total discharges today 147 and active cases reduced to 450.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among 69 covid positive cases, 42 cases reported as symptomatic which are 24 male and 18 are female, meanwhile out of 27 cases of asymptomatic  12 are  male and 15 are female. 

Among 69 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 43, from Kundapura 8, Karkala taluk is 17 and from other districts is one. 

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 13 and at Home Isolation are 56. 

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave tested on 22.09.2021 are 5206 and total tested on second wave till 22.09.2021 is 743089. Total first wave and second wave tested are 1111330. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges today on 23.09.2021 during second wave are 147 and total discharges on second wave are 51634.  Total discharges in the district are 75055.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190. No death reported on second wave occurred today on Thursday on 23.09.2021. Till today deaths in second wave are 281.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 471.

Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 52365. Total positives in the district are increased to 75976.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Thursday for 18 to 44 years first doses are 625 and cumulative total 428905, second dose 1430, cumulative second dose 105972, above 45 years Ist dose are 478 and cumulative total  426837, IInd dose 494 and cumulative total 250632 for HCW’s Ist dose 0 and cumulative total is 23570 and IInd dose 1, cumulative total is 22663, FLW’s Ist dose are 1 which cumulative total is 8080 and IInd dose 47 and cumulative total  is 6413. Total today Ist dose are 1103 which cumulative total is 887392, 2nd dose 1925 Cumulative total 385680.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till today on 23.09.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 5, In Karkalla 0, Till today on 23.09.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till today on 23.09.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till today 23.09.2021 is 42. No death occurred today for black fungus. Six deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till today on 23.09.2021. Total cases in the district till today are 53. Total discharge on today is 0. Total discharges till today 46. Active cases are 1.
