Udupi : As many as 106 new positive cases and no death reported for COVID-19 second wave in Udupi district on Monday, July 5. Active cases are increased to 837.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  106 covid positive cases, 47 cases reported as symptomatic which 27 are male and 20 are female, meanwhile out of 59 cases of asymptomatic, 23 are  male and 36 are female. 

Among 106 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 33, from Kundapura 48, Karkala taluk is 23 and from other districts is 2.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 17 and at Home Isolation are 89 Total active cases today are 837.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 04.07. 2021 are 2420 and total tested on second wave till 04.07.2021 is 327416. Total first wave and second wave tested are 695657. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 04.07.2021 during second wave are 207 and total discharges on second wave are 42256.  Total discharges in the district are 65677.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  No deaths on second wave are occurred today on Monday, 05.07.2021. Till 05.07.2021 deaths in second wave are 207.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 397. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 43300. Total positives in the district are increased to 66911.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Monday are 18 to 44 years first dose 4319 and cumulative total 125351 second dose 285, cumulative second dose 1183, above 45 years Ist dose are 1869 and cumulative total 278483, IInd dose 9171 and cumulative total 114004, for HCW’s Ist dose 4 and cumulative total is 23497 and IInd dose 17, cumulative total is 19517, FLW’s Ist dose are 0 which cumulative total is 7956 and IInd dose 78 and cumulative total is 3922. Total today Ist dose are 6192 which cumulative total is 435287 and for IInd dose are 9551 people and cumulative total is 138626.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: In Udupi 0, Total till on 05.07.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 4, In Karkalla 0, Till 05.07.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 0, Till 05.07.2021 is 6, other districts is 0, Till 05.07.2021 is 25. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 05.07.2021. A total discharge on today is 1. Total discharges till 05.07.2021 is 26. Total cases in the district are 35. Total active cases are 7.
