Udupi : As many as in Udupi district  recorded  204 new positive cases and succumbed to two deaths which one from Kundapura taluk and other from Udupi taluk for COVID-19 second wave on Tuesday, June 8. Active cases are reduced to 3783.

According to the district health bulletin by Deputy Commissioner to the media, among  204 covid positive cases, 82  cases reported as symptomatic which 45 are male and 37 are female, meanwhile out of 122 cases of asymptomatic, 58 are  male and 64 are female. 

Among 204 positive cases, whereas positive cases from Udupi are 95, from Kundapura 49, Karkala taluk is 51 and from other districts are 9.

Place of Admission/Isolation will be designated Covid Health Hospital, Covid Care Centre, Designated Covid Hospital and Designated Covid Health Hospital patients are 22 and at Home Isolation are 182. Total active cases today are 3783.

 Total tested during first wave are 368241 and second wave on 7.06.2021 are 2616 and total tested on second wave till 7.06.2021 is 250997. Total first wave and second wave tested are 619238. Total discharged during first wave are 23421. The discharges on 7.06.2021 during second wave are 504 and total discharges on second wave are 35331.  Total discharges in the district are 58752.

Total deaths in first wave in the district were 190.  Two deaths on second wave are occurred today on Tuesday, 07.06.2021. Till 07.06.2021 deaths in second wave is 158.  Total deaths in the district are increased to 348. Total positives in first wave are 23611. Total positive in second wave is 39272. Total positives in the district are increased to 62883.

Udupi district COVID-19 vaccination today on Tuesday are 18 to 44 years first dose 2885 and cumulative total 39381, second dose 0, cumulative second dose 6, above 45 years Ist dose are 6749 and cumulative total 215210, IInd dose 591 and cumulative total 65323, for HCW’s Ist dose 10 and cumulative total is 23218 and IInd dose 8, cumulative total is 19037, FLW’s Ist dose are 219 which cumulative total is 7191 and IInd dose 3 and cumulative total is 3526. Total today Ist dose 9863 which cumulative total is 285000 and for IInd dose are 602 people and cumulative total is 87886.

Mucormyosis (Black Fungus) details in the district: Udupi 0, Till 8.06.2021 the cases reported in Udupi is 3, In Karkalla 0, Till 8.06.2021 is 0, in Kundapura is 1, Till 8.06.2021 is 4, other districts is 1, Till 8.06.2021 is 11. No death occurred today for black fungus. Two deaths are reported for black fungas in Udupi district till 8.06.2021. Total discharges today is1. Total discharges till 8.06.2021 is 6. Total cases in the district are 11. Total active cases are 10.
