The Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh (Regd.) warmly invites you to a Mega Joshal D’Souza Musical Nite, a grand evening of music, fellowship and compassion—organised with a noble mission close to every heart in our region.

This special initiative is dedicated to Goretti Hospital, Santhekatte–Kallianpur, a humble yet heroic healthcare institution that has served our people with love and commitment for over 65 years.

Founded in 1958 by the then Diocese of Mangalore under the visionary leadership of Msgr Denis Jerome D’Souza, and entrusted to the devoted Sisters of the Resurrection (SRA) in 1962, Goretti Hospital has been a place where life began, hope was restored and countless families found healing.

From the 1960s to the 1980s, its maternity ward witnessed the birth of generations from our middle-class and poor families. Its OPD and surgical services became a lifeline for the sick and the needy. For many, Goretti Hospital is not just a building—it is a memory, a blessing, a place of compassion.

Today, as times change and medical needs grow, this beloved hospital stands at an important turning point. The demand for better healthcare facilities, modern equipment and specialised services is increasing rapidly. To continue its mission of serving all—especially the poor and marginalised—the hospital urgently needs support for:

24×7 availability of doctors
Dialysis equipment and Nephrology services
Expanded Gynaecology and Women’s Health facilities
Ambulance, blood bank and other lifesaving services
Upgrading infrastructure to meet present-day medical standards

Rather than building something new, we believe it is wise and meaningful to strengthen the hospital we already have—a hospital rooted in compassion, service and community trust.

This Mega Musical Nite is our humble effort to bring people together for this sacred cause. Your presence, encouragement and contribution will help ensure that Goretti Hospital continues to heal, serve and save lives for generations to come.

The Catholic Sabha, the largest laity organisation of the Udupi Diocese under its dynamic Diocesan President Mr Ronald DAlmeida and his cohesive team, with active 52 units across five deaneries—Kallianpur, Kundapura, Udupi, Shirva and Karkala—has taken up this mission with faith and determination. We rely entirely on the goodwill of socially conscious well-wishers and generous donors.

As parishioners of Mount Rosary Church, we Rosarians feel a special responsibility. The hospital stands right next to our church—part of our own campus, our own history, our own community. Its future is closely linked with ours. Our parish has always been known for kindness and generosity, and we are confident that together we can rise to this occasion once again.
