17th World Kannada Cultural Convention 2024 in association with SCENT successfully concluded in Dubai

The 17th World Kannada Cultural Convention’s 2nd event was held in Fortune Plaza Hotel, Ghusais, Dubai yesterday the 18th February, 2024 from 2.30 pm onwards.  The first part of the said event was recently held in Saudi Arabia.

This event was jointly presented by Hridaya Vahini Mangalore and Sandhya Creations Event Network Team (SCENT) Dubai.  K.P. Manjunath Sagar, Chairman of Hridaya Vahni & WKCC Committee arranged to bring in more than 32 Artistes from Karnataka who presented various Folk Songs, Kannada Songs & Folk Dances very professionally with live background Music by master musicians.  The audience fully enjoyed and danced to the tunes of their famous foot tapping songs.  Shodhan Prasad of SCENT provided the local support and invited the guests.  This is the 3rd such event of Hridaya Vahini supported by SCENT in Dubai.

The Chief Guests included Businessman Lt. Gen. Dr. Devid Frank Fernandes, President of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha, Sarvotham Shetty, Shodhan Prasad of SCENT, K.P. Manjunath Sagar of Hridaya Vahini Mangalore, Ex-Vice President ISCC Abu Dhabi, Mithrampadi Jayaram Rai, President of Eden Global School, Ashraf Shah Manthoor, President Basava Samiti, Mallikarjuna Gowda, Journalist V4 Media, Vijaya Kumar Shetty & International Folk Singer and MC Go Na Swamy.  All the guests inaugurated the program with lighting of the auspicious lamp.

Shodhan Prasad welcomed the Guests, Artistes & Audiences and K.K. Manjunath Sagar briefed on the program, artistes and their continuous effort all these years in promoting Karnataka Art and Culture around the world.  Soon they will be hosting similar programs in Canada and United States of America.

All the Chief Guests spoke nicely and appreciated the organisers effort in promoting the Karnataka Folklore around the world.  They commonly said that one should support these kind of promoters of Art and identify them for Special Awards.  We should try and organize more of these shows frequently in different parts of the world, they added.  Chief Guests were honoured with Shawl, Garland and Mementos.
