Print Confraternity Sunday (Compri Feast) observed at Kemmannu Church
Kemmannu, Jan 10, 2021: Prelude to the Parish Feast celebrations to be celebrated in the following week, Confraternity Sunday popularly named as ‘Compri Feast’ was celebrated with dedication and religious gaiety.
The traditional Confraternity Sunday was observed with a High Mass and Eucharistic devotion at the St. Theresa Church, Kemmannu on 10th January 2021 at 4.30 pm.
Rev. Fr Alban D’Souza, Parish Priest Stella Maris Church was the main celebrant along with Rev. Fr. Victor D’souza, PP Kemmannu Church and Rev. Fr. Lancy D’Souza, CSC, VG of Diocese of Agartala and Parish Priest of St.Pauls Parish, Kumarghat, Tripura.
Confraternity day is a day to celebrate the brotherhood between the Parishioners. Fr. Alban in his homily explained the importance of celebrating this day and also narrated how to live a lovable life.
Due to Covid-19 all out door celebrations have been cancelled including the Besp on Tuesday evening. On the feast day (13th Jan), the High Mass will start with the distribution of Manacho Vaati’, blessed candles at 10.15 AM. Rev. Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Rector, Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur is the main celebrant.
